Jamaica, a family-friendly vacation the whole family will enjoy!
Updated: Dec 3, 2019
As a parent, I only want the best for my children like any other parent. Yet, I take this notion a step further, and include vacations in this equation. Finding a family-friendly vacation can sometimes be challenging. On the one hand, I want to spend time together as a family. On the other hand, I also want to relax and not have a care in the world. Well I’m here to tell you, that you no longer have to settle for vacations that are not family-friendly anymore. Here is why you should consider Jamaica, when you want to go on a family vacation.
Selecting a good destination, is equally as important as your accommodations. Living on the East Coast, there are a host of Caribbean islands to choose from. From Aruba, Puerto Rico, and Anguilla to name a few. I found that when planning a last minute family vacation, the Jamaica has proven to be very cost effective. With its white sandy beaches, family-friendly activities, and crystal blue water. With the option of 5 major vacation cities, you too can take your family vacations to an entirely new level. While planning you can easily find a collection of all-inclusive resorts, you and your family are sure to enjoy. One of my favorite options is the Royalton White Sands Resort.
Royalton White Sands Resort is full of inclusions for the whole family. One of your favorite activities is the splash park. It’s comprised 8 slides, and a splash pad for the smaller children. There is also a lazy river to slow things down, from running in between the slides. Parents can take advantage of Seaside Camp during the Summer & Winter breaks. Seaside Camp offers creative engagement through culture, cooking, scavenger hunts, and crafts. If you have teens in tow, have them check out the Hangout Teens Club (ages 13-17). While in the Hangout, teens will have access to both tech games & non-motorized sports. For the parents, there are 6 bars on site, spa, and local attractions like St. Ann, the birth place of Bob Marley. Parents and children can enjoy excursions offered through various companies, but we recommend Island Routes.
Island Routes offer adventure seeking excursions like Mayfield Falls & Jeep Safari, Bobsled, Zipline, and Dolphin Swim. One of the offered excursions, which is true to the nature of the islands one love motto, is the Reading Road Trip. On this excursion, you will have the chance to visit a local school, and host story time with children 5-7 years old. You can take things further, by collecting gently-used to new books & school supplies before you arrive in Jamaica. To learn more about this program please view Island Routes website.
From Jamaica or any other destination, we are here to help. Visit our site and we can help you start building your family vacation memories today.
